Non-doms I'd like to see go
In the ongoing row about the non-doms, and all of them threatening to leave, one small consolatory thought.
Is there any chance that Chelsea Football Club, that home of non-doms, whether on the pitch, in the stands or in the boardroom, will itself leave the country?

I gather that nominations are allowed! May I suggest Ron Sandler (Northern Rock) who only ears £54,000 per month net. Finding £30,000 from that will be difficult I'm sure. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/ad3f3c84-e0e8-11dc-b0d7-0000779fd2ac.html

You certainly may suggest non-dom Ron. Perhaps we should start a petition on the Number 10 website - we request that the following non-doms leave...something like that.
Mike Truman on the Taxation blog doesn't agree with getting rid of Chelsea FC (and I guess it might be difficult to get rid of the whole club as a non-dom, more just most of their people). But I have another evil thought.
Does the club's proprietor own the club through a complex series of offshore structures? Could the structure be hit by the remittance rule changes?
We can only hope...
